About Beth B. McGovern
A 1991 alumnus of Widener University School of Law, Beth initiated her legal journey through various internships. These included positions in the District Attorney's office, under a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia, and at a general litigation firm. Beth also holds a bachelor's degree from Temple University's School of Communications, specializing in Rhetoric and Communication, and minoring in English.
In 1993, Beth ventured into establishing her own law firm. Originally based in Center City, the firm later shifted to Bucks County. During the initial stages of her career, Beth's practice was diverse, encompassing Family Law, Wills and Estate matters, as well as Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Social Security Disability, and other broad legal areas. Presently, her firm's emphasis is largely on legal issues that revolve around the family unit.
Beth's membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, particularly in the Family Section, underscores her commitment as a legal advocate for abused and neglected children as well as indigent parents, representing such clients since 1993. Furthermore, Beth's expertise extends to serving as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas. She also actively contributes to the legal community through her involvement in continuing legal education panels with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
